So, you might be familiar with domestic abuse, or maybe it's something you're not really aware of. It really doesn't matter because DAfree community is all about welcoming everyone to learn from one another, no matter what level of knowledge we have. DAfree isn't just about replicating what you can find through Google research. DAfree is a place where we share and learn from one another, drawing on our experiences and perspectives. Simply, it’s about learning each person’s unique journey in a safe and private space, which helps create a special awareness that anyone can use to help break the cycle of abuse.

No matter your background in understanding domestic abuse, you are engaging with DAfree members to discover their stories or to offer your support. This level is focused on deepening our understanding of coercive control, exploring our feelings about it, recognising the signs, and comprehending both direct and indirect impacts, while also sharing valuable insights.

This level aims to explore feminist theories surrounding domestic violence and highlight the significance of maintaining an open mind on the subject. Domestic abuse can impact anyone, regardless of gender, and it can also be perpetrated by those who have experienced it themselves. While most victims are female, it's important to approach domestic abuse without prejudice or judgement. Enrol in level 3 course to learn more and share your insights.

In this level, we explore a significant challenge surrounding domestic abuse that arises after separation. Ending a relationship doesn't guarantee that abuse will stop. Often, perpetrators persist in their pursuit of their victims. Both women and men can face comparable impacts from domestic abuse, particularly in the aftermath of a separation.

The lack of awareness at any level indicates that the legislation alone is insufficient to safeguard domestic abuse victims and
